The project area is located in Meerapalu harbor in Põlva County, by Lake Peipsi. As a result of the analysis, the area is characterized as a marshy plain with small forest patches and scattered settlements with cemeteries.

The area is mainly untouched marshland with very few settlements along the coast. Due to its clean nature, this area is very sensitive to any activities that leave a mark or create noise, or even activities that require facilities.

Fishing villages have small wharves that can be used. This area is best suited for activities designed for individuals or small groups that operate quietly and leave no trace.

Bronze country

The area was named Bronze Land because there are marshy areas where bronze-colored plants grow. This area is similar to wetlands, characterized by sand, soil and marsh plants.

The designed viewing platform offers visitors the opportunity to enjoy nature, where they can see water, plants and the coastline. The beach is suitable for swimming in summer and skating in winter. You can sit calmly on the platform and enjoy the surrounding nature. All visitor groups are welcome to explore this area.

project area

A bridge path has been created for the area, which leads to the observation tower. The trail runs around the entire area, offering an exciting opportunity to explore it. The bridge is made of wood and metal and measures 180 cm x 80 cm.

Meerapalu harbor is naturally developed with not enough space for walking. Therefore, a journey to the right of the beach observation platform is planned to allow you to enjoy the peace and rhythm of nature. The path from the bridge is about 1 km long. The path is wide enough for wheelchair users to move comfortably. Additional information about the area can be found at the beach platform and observation tower.
